Trip to Sedona

DH and I have spent the last days, week, getting unpacked and organized in our new house in Scottsdale. We took today, our Anniversary to head to Sedona for lunch and a trip to the Dairy Queen in Oak Creek Canyon. Sedona is a two hour drive away and it was a nice getaway for the day.

The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful Sedona is- it is like being in a National Park. We had lunch at the Mesa Grill at the Airport. The food was great and outside they were grilling a pig and ribs for Happy Hour later in the day. It smelled great!

We stopped at Kachina House, where Judy gave us a great history on the different kind of Indian pottery and artifacts that they carry in their store.

Unfortunately no quilt shops on this trip. The only quilt shop was in the process of closing and did not have much left. Sad to see as we had visited this shop on a previous trip many years ago and it was a beautiful shop. Our last stop was the Dairy Queen in Oak Creek Canyon. A beautiful drive and dessert at the end.  Our next trip back to Sedona will be in the fall, where we plan to stay a couple of days and get some hiking in.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my NQR post. Next up, the design wall goes up in the Studio!

  1. Okay, you have me guessing...what is an NQR post? Sad about the quilt shop closure too.
