Design Wall Monday

Two projects sit on the Design Wall this week. Happy Place and Good Fortune.

Happy Place
I finished all the pieced blocks and will be working on the applique blocks next. Still playing around with color placement, but like how it looks so far.

Good Fortune
Four blocks complete on Good Fortune! Hope to make more progress this week and get the rest done. I will be making this one 5x5 rows instead of the 7x7 that Bonnie has for her quilt.

Have a great week! Happy Sewing!

Sunday Stash Report.

First day purchases!

Had way to much fun at Road this week, with some great adds to the stash! Found some great patterns-like I need anymore-fabrics for future projects and some fun notions. Just had to have the Olfa red rotary cutter! And could not pass up a new ruler from Bloc Loc. It was great to see Janna in the booth and learn how to use the new ruler.

Day 2 purchases
The second day was class, day with a little shopping mixed in. The class Happy Place was very fun, easy going and no stress. We revisited old techniques and learned a few new ones along the way. this quilt is great for a beginner, as it starts off with easy blocks and works its way up to harder techniques.

Susan and Class Samples
My finished blocks in class.
Also added to the Stash this week, were fabrics that Sandi picked up for our Tree Runner project.

In the red, but it is only the beginning of the year and there are a lot of projects to complete!

Sunday Stash Reoport

Nothing much accomplished this week, but that will soon change with a trip to Road to California Quit show later this week. Sandi and I are taking the class below on Saturday, and will be seeing the show on Friday. I am sure to find a few stash enhancing fabrics at Road.

The class project is called Happy Place by Susan Emory.  Have to start getting fabrics pulled together- she recommends 12 fat quarters. Pulling from my stash first and then may see what I can find at the show.

No changes in the numbers.
