All of the pieces are cut for the sashing, cornerstones and pieced borders, so once I finish the Sunday Star Blocks, the pieced borders will be next. Two weeks left to finish this UFO and many pieces to go!

Sunday Stash Report

Back home today from Mammoth Lakes. Great weather and even more beautiful scenery with all the water everywhere. Mammoth had a record snowfall this year, so there is still quite a bit of snow hanging around, and all the lakes are full. Below are a couple of the lakes that we visited.

Virginia Lake in background.

Arrowhead Lake.

Nothing added for the stash this week and nothing used. Tomorrow I will give an update on my Lazy Sunday. I did finish another Lucy Boston block on the drive, along with a few more DJ blocks below.

Cabin 34
This week DH and I are celebrating out 5th Anniversary up in Mammoth Lakes. We are staying in a cute cabin at Tamarack Lodge on Twin Lakes. It is a beautiful setting. There is still quite a bit of snow up here especially above 9000 ft, which makes many of our favorite hiking trails out of reach.

Crystal Crag
Crystal Craig is one of our favorite hikes, but still too much snow, so cannot hike very far on the trail. We did hike out to Parker Lake- which is always a spectacular place to go. It is a glacier fed lake and very blue.

Not too much accomplished on the sewing front. One DJ block completed and some sewing for the first block for Lazy Sunday. I have set up a cozy sewing station in our cabin, but it has been much too beautiful here to spend much time inside!

Check back later this week to see if I have made any progress.😊

Design Wall

This week involved a lot of cutting for Lazy Sunday, a Bonnie Hunter pattern, that was originally a Mystery Quilt from Quiltmaker magazine in 2013. I will be taking this project along on vacation next week to Mammoth Lakes. DH and I are celebrating our 5th Anniversary and I hope to get in some hiking, sewing, and Skiing in July!

This quilt will definitely keep me busy for July! Hope you are making progress on your UFO's this summer.

Sunday Stash Report

As mentioned in a earlier post, Brenda brought a sizable amount of her stash to sell to us during our Dear Jane Retreat. Not only was she giving it away at bargin prices, but the choices were outstanding. Below are Brenda's Dear Jane Fabrics. These were discontinued a couple of years ago and hard to find.
Dear Jane Fabrics

The fabrics below will be used for backings. The one to far left will be for my current Dear Jane Quilt.

Next up, just because. I really liked the one with all the words, a great neutral.
Just because.

Lastly, another line of fabrics designed by Brenda for her Susanna Culp quilt Pattern. Not sure yet what I will use them for or even if I will make the Susanna Culp quilt, but I really liked the purple and gold.

Also added were two solid neutrals, a white and a cream. The cream will most likely be used for my Lucy Boston Quilt. The damage this week was, yes, 50 yards. But all at a deal that I could not pass up. I am still in the black, but time to get busy with a few more finishes!!

June UFO

June UFO complete! This was another win of blocks from Sunshine Quilters awhile back. The pattern is called Rotation. I had to make an additional 7 blocks to finish out the quilt. Next up to find a backing and add to the quilting que.

For July I will be working on UFO # 12, Lazy Sunday, along with getting a few more of my Dear Jane Blocks completed!
