Stash Report

Loveable Mutts is finished, at least the top is done. Next up will be getting it all quilted and off to its new owner! Rusty Barn (aka Sewing, Quilting and Craft festival) was in town this week, so off I went to check it out. Lots of fun goodies, but I was pretty good and only purchased the Route 66 fabrics below, along with a stripe. These will be used in a couple of projects for our quilt guilds boutique in later this fall.

Also in the works this week is finishing the binding on the QOV for my longarm group. I just finished quilting this one and binding is attached and ready for hand sewing while watching TV.

It will be a busy week for me. Tomorrow we are headed to a Labor Day Pool Party, Tuesday is our guild meeting and on Thursday I leave for our annual quilting retreat in Pinetop. I am looking forward to this little getaway and have a few projects lined up that I will hopefully complete. Stash report numbers below!

Design Wall

 

I am not sure where August went, but here we are in September already. I had a wonderful time in San Diego visiting family and friends, and enjoying the cooler weather. We spent time at the bay, swimming at the pool and enjoyed dinner at one of our new favorites in Santee, The Stand. All too soon it was time to head back to AZ and the heat and some monsoon rains. Perfect weather to be inside quilting, right?

 What I am currently working on is a quick charity quilt made from 2 packs of 5" squares. You could probably just use an assortment of 5" squares also. Pattern is from Missouri Star Quilts.

The 16-patch blocks above are my current Tuesday project at my weekly sewing group. These will also get sewn into a charity project called Patches and Pinwheels by Bonnie Hunter. This is a free pattern on her website and can be found here. Check back on Sunday for my stash report and see what I have finished!
