Design Wall

Making progress on Red Vines. All 20 blocks are complete and now its on to sashing and cornerstones. Hope to have this completed by the end of the week. I LOVE how it is turning out! Below are 3 of the rows on the design wall, ready to sew together. There are five rows in all, but could only fit the three on my design wall.

Next up will be my UFO for June. Will be checking with Patchwork Times tomorrow to link up my May finish and find out what is in store for June.

Stash Report

I did have one small finish this week- a table runner. This pattern was quick and easy made with a focus fabric in the middle and 2.5 inch squares. I can see making this again in novelty and or seasonal fabrics. The pattern and fabrics were from Connecting Threads.

Florin Table runner.

While on vacation I was able to visit Emma's Quilt Cupboard, where I picked up some great novelty fabrics for a future I Spy quilt.

I also picked up this great stripe for my Lucy Boston Blocks.

I could not pass up this roll of 2.5 inch strips from In the Beginning Fabrics. I have a plan for these for a future quilt.

Below is the damage to the Stash Report! Hope to add to the finishes soon!

Design Wall Update

While on vacation this week, I took an easy project to work on and pre-cut all the strips and squares.
This quilt is called Red Vines and the pattern is by Joe Wood of Piece by Piece Quilts. I purchased this pattern some time ago at Road To California Quilt show and have been collecting red and red/black fabrics for awhile. I am using a black Kona cotton for all the centers and stepping stones.

Red is my favorite color, so this will be fun to put together!

Have a great weekend!

Stash Report

No finishes this week, but working on a couple for next week. Yes, a couple of adds! I needed a couple of more turquoise/teal fabrics for the swap and a couple of more reds for my project I am working on while on the road. Below are the fabrics I picked up at Rosie's Calico Cupboard for both projects.

And the Reds....

Design Wall

It seems like I always have two projects going at once, and this week is no exception. With my May UFO already complete, I am working on another UFO and a swap. I have pulled together enough batik strips to make the last few blocks needed for Scrappy layered log cabin and that is the first project that I am working on. Below is a picture of Sandi's finished quilt.

Krayons

First this week I will be working on the string units for a swap that I am participating in. These are due by May 22- boy it came up quick. I have about 10 complete and need to make about 50 more.

Below are the finished Triangle units for Union Blue. I will get back to that next week!

Have a great weekend and see more projects at Patchwork Times!

Sunday Stash Report

Nothing added to the stash this week, and nothing to report used. I did finish up four blocks for our block of the month for Sunshine Quilt Guild's meeting on Tuesday Night. These blocks were fun and simple to put together using batik strips randomly placed. I like they way they turned out. Would not mind winning these!
Sunshine BOM

As I was putting these blocks together, I got our a UFO from a couple of years ago. This was started in a class at Road to California, called Scrappy Layered Log Cabin.
The pattern is by Karen Eckmeier. I only need to put together about four more blocks to finish. So, while I have my Batik strips out, I think I will try to finish this one.
