Texas Trip

Back from my trip to San Antonio to visit Brenda and Joanne. We missed our trip last year due to my move, so we were all looking forward to our get-togther to do a little sewing, and catching up. Brenda lives in San Antonio and Joanne flies in from Whitehorse, Yukon. We took a trip over to the Texas Quilt Museum, which had a display of Modern Quilts starting from the 1980's. Of course we had to stop for some Texas Barbeque for Lunch!

Below are some of the Quilts from the Exhibit.

We also took a trip over to the Polish Pottery warehouse, where we all found a few items that we could not live without. There was a lot to look through!

It was a fun week, over too quickly. We will look forward to our next visit in 2021.

Sunday Stash Report

A finish to report this week! I needed a panel quilt to bring to guild meeting this week and remembered I had one to make for DH. I purchased this panel along with a couple of corrdinating fabrics  a few years back during one of the Shop Hops in San Diego. So out it came and in one short afternoon I was able to put the top together!

DH really loved this and I will be quilting it for him in the near future.

Also completed this week is the Block of the Month, also for Guild on Tuesday. Two blocks this month with a red/white theme for Valentines.

Design Wall Monday

This week I will be finishing up the Quilting my RWB Dear Jane! This has been 5 years in the making and is almost done. It has taken the entire month of January, with all the custom quilting on each of the 169 blocks and 52 Triangles.

About 2/3 done.

Some of the blocks.

Scalloped border.
Next will be the binding. With the scalloped borders this will be a challenge for me.I will be super glad when this is finished and I can get on to other quilting projects. Thanks to all my clients for being so patient. Have a great week and Happy Sewing!
