This week on the design wall will be more of the Microwave bowls that I made as christmas gifts. They are all cut out and ready to sew together. These will be gifts for some of my quilting friends.

Most of my week will be spent finishing up quilting the quilt below. Antique applique blocks from Toni. I hope to get back to my Winter Blues and the paper piecing for my Wedding ring quilt. Busy week ahead!

Sunday Stash Report

A very busy week with a visit from Sandi and our quilt retreat at Bonnie's in Yuma. Sandi arrived on Tuesday and we hung quilts, visitied some quilt shops, and had some great food. Thursday we were off to Yuma and our mini quilt retreat with Bonnie and her sister, Cristy, and a couple of Bonnie's neighbors.

First we stopped off at the Yuma Territorial Prison, which is now a musuem.

Then we were off to Bonnie's where she had everything set up beautifully for some weekend sewing. We als visited a local quilt shop that we all enjoyed.

I was able to finish one project, It takes Two, while at Bonnie's. I really love how it turned out. Also started on the Winter Blues quilt.

Sunday Stash Report

 Happy first day of Spring!

Nothing finished this week and nothing added to the stash. I have spent this week prepping projects that I will be taking on a quilting retreat with some friends. Cut all the pieces for the flying geese borders for the wedding ring quilt. This will keep me busy.

Pieces for flying geese.

But if that is not enough, I spent one morning cutting all the strips on my Accquilt for the Winter Blues quilt. I probably have enough to make two quilts. This will be in black and whites.

Black and White strips

I hope to get a lot accomplished in my 4 days with the girls!

More Arcs are coming together! This is Arc "B" for the wedding ring quilt. The pieces for the ends will be sewn on during the construction of the block. I have 3 more sets to sew and then there is more cutting for flying geese, melons and corners. Hopefull soon construction of the blocks will be happening.

Design Wall Monday

This week I am prepping for the Flowers for My Wedding ring quilt. There is a bit of prep work before the sewing starts with this quilt. First is cutting all the foundations, making the templates and then cutting the fabric for each step. All go into seperate bags for each step and then the sewing starts.

Paper Pieces

Strip sets were put together using 3 different Bali pops. There are 8 strips in each set, light to dark. Below are my 7 strip sets that are used for the rings.

Paper pieces with their strips, ready to start sewing. I have a lot of sewing ahead of me this week. Hope to make some good progress on all these sections.

Enjoy your Monday!

Sunday Stash Report

Finished this week was this charity quilt. Pattern by Villa Rosa Designs, where they have many super easy patterns using charm packs and jelly rolls. I have been looking for some easy patterns to use up scraps and donate to charity. I am going to try to make a charity quilt each month.

The heart blocks were made for an organization that will be making quilts for Ukraine. My guild will be collecting them on Tuesday and sending them off to Germany where they will put together into quilts. This pattern was in EQ8 and I sized it to 8" finished.
