Design Wall Monday

This week I will be heads down working on Bonnie Hunter's Mystery. I still have clue 4 to finish and clue 5 was posted today. Clue 6 will be posted on Friday. I am still trying to finish up clue 4 below.

Clue 4 cut out.

This weekend was sewing the first part of clue 4 and the next day or two will be sewing the rest and pressing and trimming. We leave on Thursday to head to Winslow AZ and the La Posada Hotel for New Years. Will be bringing some bindings to work on as it is supposed to be a bit rainy up in that area. Not much work will get done on the Mystery, so will be playing catch up when we return.

Pinned and more sewing

Happy New Year and hope you are getting some sewing time in.

Sunday Stash Report

Hope you all had a beautiful Christmas day and are enjoying some time with Family and Friends!

No posting for me last week, with my busy trip to San Diego and then back home to get ready for Christmas here in AZ. Had a great time visiting the Grandkids, Kids and Friends, and look forward to more visiting in 2022.

With gifts given I can now share what was made during the month on November. Fabric Microwave bowels. I made 6 sets of these bowls in different fabrics for family.  These are great for holding those hot bowls in the Microwave.

This will be my last Stash Report of the year, so a small finish this week to end the year. My Calendar Quilt for February is done and only one more to go. I had hoped to finish them all, but that will not happen this year.

Calendar Quilt February.

Final report for the year, not too bad. Next year I am hoping to use up more of my stash in a number of Bonnie Hunter quilts that will be on my UFO list for the year. More on that later this week.

Used YTD: 259.0 yards.
Purchased this week: 0 yards.

Sunday Stash Report

Back from our trip to Tombstone this afternoon. We had a great time riding and visiting both Tombstone and Bisbee. We stayed outsiede of Tombstone at the Tomstone Monument Ranch. It was a great place, with an old western town, horseback riding and other activities.

The Ranch

Me on our history ride.

Both Tombstone and Bisby are old mining towns with a lot of interesting western history. Tombstone is most famous for " The shoot out at OK corral" which is depicted in the movie "Tombstone" from 1993. Bisby is close to the Mexico border and is a funky artist town with many antique stores.

Downtown Bisby.

No finishes this week, as we were on the road. When I returned home, my Spooky box from
Fat Quarters Quilt Shop was waiting for me. It contained the cute halloween fat quarters, a spooky box, bookmark, pattern, and ring thread cutter.
