Design Wall Monday

Happy Monday and the last week of June, start of July!

This week I will be working on a couple of projects. One is to prep a number of pincushions to take as hand sewing on my next road trip coming up soon.

Next I will be sewing another Charity Quilt that is all cut out. Sewing on this will happen on Tuesday at my sewing group.

Lastly, I am hoping to have some time to start sewing the blocks for my Wedding Ring quilt.

A busy week ahead for me. Happy Sewing!

Sunday Stash Report

 Happy Father's Day!

No big finishes this week, just a few blocks completed along with prepping another block for Autumn Love. I am also making slow progress on the flying geese units. The first blocks were made for Quilts of Valor for my Longarm group that meet on Saturday.

Quilt of Valor Blocks

The flag star and barbeque block are for the same group as a BOM. We did two for June, one for 4th of July and one for Father's Day.

The fabrics below came from Fat Quarter Shop as a gift from my daughter for my Birthday. The will be used in future projects.

Also arriving from Fat quarter shop was their Liberty Box. Fabric, pattern, cute soap, needle minder and scissors were included in this box. It was a gift from DH. Very fun to get these seasonal boxes.

Sunday Stash Report

It has been a hot couple of days here in AZ, with temps around 105-108 here in Scottsdale. Perfect weather to be indoors in my quilting studio!

This week a couple of small finishes.More microwave bowls, and a small wall hanging were completed. The wall hanging was done in a class at Mulqueens and used Easy Piecing grid from       Ten Sisters. I really enjoyed using the grid and will be using it for a Postage Stamp quilt, one of my UFO's for this year.

Also finished this week were the Autumn Block and the prepping of the Scarecrow block. I will be taking the applique blocks with me on my next road trip in July to sew all the applique pieces down.

Purchased this week were fabrics to complete the Pineapple wall hanging above and the pink for a future project.

Updated stash numbers below. More small finishes are on the way.

Used this week: 2 yards.
Used YTD: 78 yards.
Purchased this week: 4 yards.
Purchased YTD:  61 yards.
Net Fabric Used YTD: 17 yards.

Enjoy your week!

Design Wall Monday

This week I am continuing to work on Blocks for Autumn Love, along with cutting out another charity quilt. My goal is to try to complete at least 6 charity quilts this year, hopefully more, all from my stash.

Along with that I have more Microwave bowls cut out and ready to put together.

Microwave bowls

Winter Blues in black is currently on hold, as I have some unsewing to do. Seems I forgot an entire step that included sashing and cornerstones. I was wondering why it was much smaller than it was supposed to be.😬 Unsewing will happen in the evenings this week, while watching TV!

Sunday Stash Report

A finish this week and a small visitor. This week I was able to finish up on the charity quilt below. All fabrics are from my stash, leftovers from a quilt that I made one of my Granddaughters a couple of years ago. This will be quilting and go to Arizona Quilts for Kids.

Charity Quilt

I also completed the four harvest star blocks for Autum Love by Lori Holt. These took me almost an entire day to put together, but turned out so cute.

We have had a visitor for the past few days, and she goes home on Tuesday to her family. Xena has been so fun to have around and is a sweet dog.
