Indigo Way

The center is complete, trimmed and ready for the borders. My hope is to complete this week. I will also be working on the blocks for the Pirate Quilt, and hope to get back to my halloween quilt. Always a lot going on in my Studio!

Vintage Valentine Block 11

This was my only finish for the week, Vintage Valentine Block 11. I am now prepping block 12 and getting closer to finishing this quilt. I think we only have one more month, the center medallion and then putting it all together.

A small purchase from the Rusty Barn Quilt and Craft Show. I was not going to go, but Joe and I decided to head over to the fairgrounds on Friday to check it out. We bought some of our favorite soups and the fabrics above for more Popcorn Bags that will be sold at the Arizona Quilt Guild coming up in March. No finishes this week and just a small addition. Hoping for a finish this coming week to get some usage going.

This was made by Wendy Knight from my Guild in San Diego.

Our class was fun and I learned a couple of new tricks and tips on making curved pieces. Heather did a great job and was a fun instructor.

This week I will be working on more blocks for Indigo Way, the setting triangles and corner blocks.  I have had to make a few more units along the way, but so far everthing is going together great. I may even get to putting it all togther. We will have to see what the rest of this week brings.

Sandi and I had a great time at Road2CA quilt show. The quilts were beautiful and the shopping was great. It did not dissapoint. Above was Best of Show and it is way more beautiful in person. The intricate work was outstanding. More of my favorite quilts below.

We both came away with some new fabrics and projects to add to our sewing studio's!

The first blocks are finished for Indigo Way, Bonnie Hunter's mystery. Still have a ways to go before this one is finished.  Cutting is all complete for the Pole Star Quilt and tomorrow I am off to Road To California Quilt show, with Sandi. We will attend preview night on Tuesday, Class on Wednedsay and shopping of Thursday. It has been 4 years since we have attended the show and I am really looking forward to it.

No finishes this week, but purchases were made. I needed a few more fabrics for my upcoming class at Road to California. I decided to use Grunge fabrics and brighten up the color pallete a bit. Results are above. The blocks are not exact, but pretty close.

Design Wall

 This week I am working on Indigo Way Blocks, along with piecing the pumpkins for the Pumpkins and Bats Table topper.  Center and corners finished and thepaper pieced pumpkins that go on the sides. So I have a ways to go.

Also up this week is prepping for my class next week at Road to California. Need to find a few more fabrics and start the cutting, along with making templates and printing paper pieces. Would like to be ready to start sewing when I get to class next week,

The first Stash report of 2024. Not much to report. 😁

I am working on Indigo Way, slowly getting the blocks together and awaiting more of the green fabric above to finish up the second block. I traded the red for the limey green for my version and  I am liking how it is turning out.

While awaiting fabric for Indigo Way- I ran out of the green and had to order more, I am woking on a foundation pieced halloween quilt. It is a small table topper size and the pattern was purchased from  EZ Piecing. This is also one of my 2024 UFO's.

Bat blocks are finished and I am off to work on pumpkins this week, while awaiting the next clue for Bonnie Hunter's Mystery.  Don't forget to go and get all the clues. Enjoy the first Day of 2024!
