Design Wall

On the Design Wall this week are the last two tree table runners. Quilting of the other 3 is also going on. Hope to have all finished by the end of the week.

Next up will be the Shamrock table runner, also a holiday gift.

Looking forward to the first clue to be released on Friday for Bonnie Hunter's new mystery. You can find all the information here. Hope your week is short with the Thanksgiving on Thursday. Happy Sewing!

Design Wall Monday

On the Design wall this week are the tree table runners. Hope to have them all sewn together by the end of the week. On the Long arm is one of the tree wall hangings that Sandi and I are making for the craft fair for Sunshine Quilt Guild. You can check out the other finished wall hangings at Kwiltnkats.

This is the fourth one quilted, with one left to go. Working on binding for #3 and my plan is to have all 3 done and in the mail to Sandi this week. In between I will be working on the Tree Table runners. We are supposed to have a couple of rainy days on Tuesday and Wednesday, so hope to make good progress on all my projects. Enjoy!

Sunday Stash Report

Just back from a trip to San Diego to visit family and friends, so no sewing this week and nothing finished. A few additions were made with a trip to Cozy Creative Center and Memory Lane with Sandi. Unfortunately Memory Lane will be closing at the end of the year, so sad to hear of yet another quilt shop closing.

Adds to the stash include the pinks and greens below, purchased for Bonnie Hunter Mystery that will start next week, the day after Thanksgiving. You can find all the information here. Her Mystery quilts are always fun and she gives great directions, with a lot of  tips and tricks. I have never been disappointed with the final quilt.

Greens

Pinks

Also purchased was a neutral that I will use in a future Laundry Basket Quilt Pattern.

Sandi's Mom, Betty, gifted me with the cute purse below and some sewing fabrics for my stash. She always makes great purses and is so generous.

So here are the numbers. I better get busy with some finishes!

Used this week:  0 yards.
Used YTD:  116.5 yards.
Purchased this week:  9 yards
Purchased YTD: 84.5 yards.
Net Fabric Used YTD: 33 yards.

Have a great week and Happy Sewing.

Sunday Stash Report

One small finish this week, one of the Tree Table Runners. I am still working on sewing the other 4 together, in between quilting the Tree Wall hangings. Three are done with two more to go. I did not get to putting the borders on my Under the influence quilt- so no finish there yet.

It will be a short week here in Scottsdale as I am off to San Diego on Wednesday to see family and friends. Looking forward to my trip, but probably won't get too much sewing done.

Updated Report:

Used this week:  3 yards.
Used YTD:  116.5 yards.
Purchased this week:  0 yards
Purchased YTD: 75.5 yards.
Net Fabric Used YTD: 42.0 yards.

Have a great week!

A walk up Pinnacle Peak

Image result for pinnacle peak

We live close to Pinnacle Peak and can see it from our front yard. This is a well know landmark in the Scottsdale area and is a park with a challenging hike. DH and I decided to hike it today and made it all the way to the end and back- about a 4 mile hike with  a lot of ups and downs.

At the top.

View of Valley
The Peak.

With all the ups and downs of the trail, think stair master, we were pretty tired after this hike. But it was worth it for the great views that you get on all sides of the peak.

Design Wall Monday

Nothing on the design wall this week, but pieces are cut out to make 4 more of the tree table runners. These will be given as Christmas gifts to some of my family members.

Hope to have them sewn together this week, but I will also be working on quilting all the Tree wall hangings for Sunshine Quilt Guild. Below are the first two that I will tackle. There are 3 more after these.

Sandi over at Kwiltnkats put them all together from blocks that I won many years ago. They all turned out great and will go into the craft show in December.

Have a great week and happy sewing!

Stash Report

Happy November!!
Hard to believe there are only 58 days left in the year and we will be into the next decade!

Nothing used this week, but a couple of adds to the stash. I needed a couple of fabrics to complete the Christmas tree quilts that Sandi and I are finishing for Sunshine Quilt Guild. Sandi has mailed them to me for quilting, and hope to get them done this week when they arrive. Check out her blog at Kwiltnkats to see what we are working on.

The fabrics below are for my Under the influence quilt. Still needed an inner border, the blue, and an outer border. Hope to get this on and finished this week.
