Sunday Stash Report

It has been a rainy weekend here in Scottsdale, with thunder, lightning, wind and almost 3" of much needed rain.  A lot of flooding in the area, but nothing near where I live. I am looking forward to sunny days starting tomorrow.

Sunday Stash Report

Only a small finish this week, not a quilt, but a pair of pajama pants. This was purchased many years ago at the San Diego Quilt Show and was a kit to make pajama pants from this super cut bra print fabric.

Pajama Pants

I was able to make a  trip to Rosie's with Sandi last week, while I was in San Diego. Purchased the oranges below for the Calendar Quilts. Sandi will also be sending me a few squares from her stash, so I will have a good variety.

The fabrics below will be audtioned for the Ella Marie Deacon Quilt. Stripe is for the sashing. Most of the Blocks were completed last year and I may make a few more, but will not be making it as big as the original.

This was waiting for me when I returned from San Diego. Pincushion for July- Thank you Sandi!

Design Wall Monday

Not to much will be happening in my quilting studio this week. I am in San Diego to visit with family and friends and will not return to AZ until late on Saturday.

I left with two more backgrounds pulled together for the Calendar Quilts. These are for August and September quilts.

I am also in the process of finishing this wool decoration for my yazzi bag. It is from a kit that was a wall hanging and I used part of it for my bag. Just need to sew down the edges.

I think it turned out super cute. I am also still prepping applique for the Michigan quilt. I am about 3/4 of the way done and will start glue basting down to borders when I get home.

Hope you are working on something fun this week. Catch up with me on Sunday and see what I found at Rosie's Calico Cupboard in San Diego. Happy Sewing!

Design Wall Monday

This week I will be working on my Calendar Quilts, my UFO for July. I am starting with August, Sept and October. The backkgrounds are all 4.5" squares and I am going through my stash to pull fabrics. I think pulling the fabrics will take the longest,

Calendar Quilts

Below are blacks cut our for October's pumkin. The appliques will be machine sewn onto the backgrounds.

Black Backgrounds

Also in the works is prepping applique for my Michigan quilt, So far have almost enough for one side.

Michigan Applique pieces,

I will also be awaiting the 8th month for Vintage Christmas. This should include all that is needed for the sashing. Last month will be the border.

This arrived last week when I returned from Boulder. My new Accuquilt Go electric cutter. I have been practicing with the die that it came with and just purchased a couple of dies that I think I will use the most for the quilts I want to make.

Excited to be able to speed up cutting and save my wrists for binding!

Happy Sewing!
