Sunday Stash Report

Nothing added to the stash this week and nothing finished. Working on the wedding ring quilt and have finished all the "A" arcs.

The fabrics are all batiks and I think it is going to be a very pretty quilt when it is vinished. Picking the colors to go together for the arcs was the hardest part!

Design Wall Monday

This week I am prepping for the Flowers for My Wedding ring quilt. There is a bit of prep work before the sewing starts with this quilt. First is cutting all the foundations, making the templates and then cutting the fabric for each step. All go into seperate bags for each step and then the sewing starts.

Paper Pieces

Strip sets were put together using 3 different Bali pops. There are 8 strips in each set, light to dark. Below are my 7 strip sets that are used for the rings.

Paper pieces with their strips, ready to start sewing. I have a lot of sewing ahead of me this week. Hope to make some good progress on all these sections.

Enjoy your Monday!

Sunday Stash Report

Finished this week was this charity quilt. Pattern by Villa Rosa Designs, where they have many super easy patterns using charm packs and jelly rolls. I have been looking for some easy patterns to use up scraps and donate to charity. I am going to try to make a charity quilt each month.

The heart blocks were made for an organization that will be making quilts for Ukraine. My guild will be collecting them on Tuesday and sending them off to Germany where they will put together into quilts. This pattern was in EQ8 and I sized it to 8" finished.

Design Wall Monday

Last Day of February- Bring on March!

This week I will be working on a charity quilt called Dominique from Villa Rosa Designs. This pattern uses 5" squares, background and border, and everything is from my stash. It is a pretty simple quilt, and I have it cut out and ready to sew. I willbe taking it to my sewing group tomorrow and hope to get most of it sewn together.

Dominique

Next up will be getting started on my #3 UFO which is Flowers for my Wedding Ring. This one will take awhile as it is a Judy Neimeyer pattern and is both paper piecing and applique. I have had this kit for probably 6 or 7 years and it has been waiting to get done.

Flowers for My Wedding Ring

The Cupid Box from Fat Quarter arrived today and I am super happy with all the fun stuff that was in it. I also love the way it was packaged!

A fat quarter bundle called Falling in Love, and a super fun pattern.

More fabrics to finish the quilt in the pattern above. A mini simple folded corner ruler in pink. I was super excited about the ruler, as I was looking to buy one. A keychain and some fun chapstick.

Alwasy super fun to get a box like this in the mail. Fat Quarters outs together these boxes seasonally and you can check out there website here. Get on the mailing list to get notice when the boxes are available-they sell out fast.

Happy Sewing!

Design Wall Monday

On the design wall this week is a small quilt called Stars and Stripes. This was from the Libery box purchased from Fat Quarter Shop last summer and is one of my UFO's. After working on two Bonnie Hunter quilts, it was time for something smaller and simpler!

On the longarm this week is Rododendron Trail.

We are looking forward to some rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our desert here can really use it.
Have a great rest of the week.

Sunday Stash Report

Finsihed this week was a small baby quilt that will be a charity donation. All fabrics were used from my stash and leftover from a previous project.

Baby Quilt

I attended Quiltcon on Saturday and enjoyed the show and vendors, even though I am a more traditional quilter. Definetly some interesting quilts. Below are some of my favorites.
