Design Wall Monday March 14, 2011

Greetings from Mammoth, California!

This week finds me in Mammoth for some skiing, relaxing, and a little sewing. I always bring along my Janome, to get a little sewing in during bad weather. Today may be the perfect day as snow and wind are predicted.

I will be working on my Star Struck quilt, which was started in a Bonnie Hunter Workshop at Road to California in January. I have most of the blocks finished, just need to get them all sewn together, and decide on a border treatment. I have one picked out from Pat Speth's  book, "Nickle Quilts and Borders". Hope to get this top completed this week.

Don't forget to check out all the other great things that are happening on Design Wall Monday. Find it all here at Patchwork Times.

Have a great week!

  1. Great idea to take your machine if the weather gets bad. I will have to remember that.

  2. You are always prepared. I bet you will finish your star struck quilt before your time away from home is complete. Good Luck.

  3. Great post! If you didn't get to ski today, I'll be you'll make a great dent in putting your Star Struck blocks together. Anxious to see what you decide on the borders...did you bring red fabrics with you? Sandi
