Back from my Quilting Retreat up in Pinetop AZ, where we had a great time, sewing, socializing and of course eating. Our hostess, Francis, has a beautiful retreat house and cooked all our meals for us. What a treat. Above is the patio and right behind is our sewing room, which was well lighted and equipped with everything needed to get our projects done. And yes I was able to get my Judy Niemeyer quilt done!
LOVE how it turned out. I was also able to complete a couple of smaller projects that will be gifted, so will share at a later date.
We also were able to take a couple of walks around the lake, in between some rain storms. It was great to get up into the mountains and out of the heat in the Valley.
Yes, we did get some shopping at some of the local quilt stores in the arean. I came home with these great plaid blenders to use in some future projects.

good morning Kerry.
ReplyDeleteyour Judi Neimeyer quilt is stunning. i just love the color. absolutely a gorgeous quilt. way to go Kerry!!! it was well worth waiting for a photo of the quilt.
do you do your paper piecing on a singer 221? or what machine do you use? i have had a lot of people tell me that they use their 221 machines for paper piecing.
i'd love to do paper piecing again, but it scares me a little. i'm basically a straight stitch shooter.
the retreat center you stayed at looks lovely. wowza!!! that walk around the lake i bet was totally beautiful.
thanks so much for posting. i always miss reading your posts.
have a wonderful, blessed day Kerry. the weather should start turning cooler very soon. my fingers are crossed.
