2011 UFO Challenge Feburary 2, 2011

One of the main reasons for starting this blog is to join the UFO Challenge with Judy over at Patchwork Times. I will be adding my name after I create my list. I am starting about a month late, so will have to finish two projects in February to catch up. Each month Judy picks a number and that is what you work on for the month. January was #6 and February is #10. So lets get started on the UFO list!

#1 Monster Quilt, a block of the month, but can't remember how long ago I started. All the blocks are finished, just need to stitch around the appliqued and put the blocks together.

#2 Feathered Star. Started in workshop with Jodi Barrows at Road to California Quilt Show about 3 years ago. Have four of the blocks done. Need to make 8 more.

#3 Happy Birthday. A Lynn Mann pattern to celebrate that milestone birthday that will happen this year.

#4 Wine Country. A Cozy Quilt Pattern that uses 2 1/2" strips.

#5 Ruby Slippers. The fabric is from a trip to Houston International Quilt Show in 2006. It is time to use up these fabrics!

#6 Pumpkin. This was a more recent purchase from the San Diego Quilt Show in September 2010, and as you can see already in progress on my design wall.

#7 Blue Trees. Started in fall of 2009. This one is all cut out and ready to go.

#8 Dove in the Window from Sew Batik. I love this quilt! Sandi made it in Red and it is awesome.

#9 Sugar Plum Stars- Tonga Batiks-need I say more! Purchased at the Independence Hall Quilt Show in Murphy's California in Oct of 2010.

#10 Heritage Trail. A patten by Pat Speth in her Amazing Nickel Quilts book. Started in January of 2010.

#11 Scrap Happy. I love scrap quilts and have been cutting pieces for this one for the last couple of years. It is time to get this one done!

#12 Lillibets Garden- This is a Beth Ferrier Block of the Month from 2006. The top is all put together, just need to finish all the applique.

My friend Sandi (kwiltnkats) has also encouraged me to get started with this blog and has been a great help in getting this up and running! Thanks Sandi!!

Looking forward to sharing my progress each week!
