Design Wall

This week on the design wall are placemats to match the table topper completed last week. The pattern is from Missouri Star quilts and is called Zig Zag placemats. I will also be working on a couple of small behind the scene projects that will be shared at a later date.

Next up will be UFO #6: Sugar Sand Beach. This should be a fun and farily easy project that will finish lap size. It will be for my daughter Kendyll.

Have a great week!

Sunday Stash Report

I have finishes to report! First is Hugs and Kisses from Missouri Star Quilts. This finishes at 24" and was perfict for my kitchen table.

Next up, two more table runners. I needed a few more valentines decorations for my house. These will be quilted this week and find a home on a couple of tables.

Added to the stash this week were a couple of purchases from the Quilt and Craft Festival I attended on Thursday. It was super busy that day and hard to get into the booths, but I did find some pinks that I needed to finish the tabler runners above.

Also purchased was this cute kit from Lori Smith. I love her designs and have another kit that I need to get to at some point!

Below is updated numbers for the Stash! Did not do too much damage at the Quilt and Craft Festival.

Design Wall

On my Design wall is a small valentines project. This pattern is from Missouri Star Quilts and finishes at 24 inches. It is made from one charm pack, with extra yardage needed for backing and binding. This will be a table topper for our kitchen table, and is also one of my UFO's. After all the work on Chilhowie Christmas, I needed a small project and quick finish! I am also continuing to work on Modern Christmas, but am still on the checkerboard round. Hope to get back to it later this week.
Happy Sewing!

Stash Report

Chilhowie Christmas

A finish this week, Chilhowie is done and I love how it turned out. I did have to fix one block where the pieces were turned the wrong way. I thought about leaving it, but knew it would bug me. Backing will be put together next, I am using up scrappy christmas fabric.

Nice usage from this quilt! And no purchases this week, and hope to keep it that way. But no guarantee's, as we are attending the Quilting and Craft Expo at the Fairgrounds on Thursday. I will have to be strong.

Used this week: 14 yards.
Used YTD: 17 yards.
Purchased this week: 0 yards.
Purchased YTD: 1 yards.
Net Fabric Used YTD: 16 yards.

Enjoy your week!

Chilhowie Christmas

This week I am still working on Chilhowie and Modern Christmas. It seems I always have at least two projects going at once. Hope to get Chilhowie finished this week, only one more border to go.

Modern Christmas

Modern Christmas is coming along. Next round is a checkerboard border. It is looking good so far. This quilt is big, finishing at 96x96 and I have a set of custom quilting patterns for it. Looking forward to the quilting part. Enjoy your week!

This week I am working on Modern Christmas above. There are paper pieced star units that will fill in the corners of this round. Also on the agenda is to work on Chilhowie. It will be layed out on the floor and the sashing units will be built this week. A lot on my plate, how about you?
