Sunday Stash Report June 30, 2013

Hard to believe it is the last day of June and we are half way through the year. Christmas will be upon us soon- time to get working on all those holiday projects!

I have not posted for the last month as I have had no finishes to report. Have been to busy with weddings, births and just life in general to get much sewing, or shopping in. But after a great quilt retreat last weekend, with some of the best women I know, I was able to get a quilt finished and two more almost there!

This quilt is for my new Granddaughter, Violet Grace. She was born on June 20th and is the most beautiful baby in the world. (Of course I am not prejudiced!) It still has to be quilted and bound, and will also be in the San Diego Quilt Show in September.

Design Wall Monday May 20,2013

Spending some time up in Angels Camp this week with my Mom. It is always good to get away and visit with family. I always take my Janome with me when I travel- there is always some time to work on a project or two.

So this week I brought the paper pieced forest animals for my new granddaughter's quilt. I was able to get four of them completed last night. Just have to draw in a few of the details. There are 8 more to go. I am also working on the lay out in EQ7 and have settled on a couple of design choices. Hope to have all the blocks finished this week and start putting it all together when I get home.

Stash Report Sunday May 19, 2013

This week finds me in Sacramento. My nephew's wedding was on Saturday night and I am staying a few more days visiting family. We were able to take some time today to visit a quilt shop in the Rancho Cordova area called Quilters Corner. It is a great little shop and has something for everyone. I loved the selection of Reproductions and picked up the fabrics below for my Dear Jane Quilt. If you have the chance to visit, check out the restroom!

Design Wall Monday, May 15, 2013

Just a little behind in my postings!!!  This week I am working on a couple of projects.

 

Here are the latest finished Dear Jane Blocks, Have about 5 more prepped and ready for sewing this week.

 

 

This is the center of the Medallion Quilt. Now just have to cut all the borders and sew the whole thing together. Trying to get this complete, cause I am almost there!

 This is what I will be starting this next week. Paper pieced forest animal blocks for the quilt for my new granddaughter!

I know, it is not Sunday, but thought I would update any way. Actually not to much to report here. I have been working on a couple of projects, but no finishes, yet!

I do have some additions to share. Below are the very cute fabrics, from Hawthorne Fabrics, that I will be using to make a quilt for my new granddaughter that will be arriving in six weeks. I need to get busy on this one.

Design Wall Monday April 15, 2013

Happy Monday!

On my design wall this week is the Medallion Quilt. I am making progress, and have all of the blocks completed and I am working on the center Medallion. This is my UFO for April and hope to have it finished before leaving on a business trip later this month.

Sunday Stash Report April 14, 2013

Greetings!!

No finishes to report this week, but did do some adding. Purchased the fabrics below at Country Loft in La Mesa. The first are more blue/shirting for the Dear Jane Quilt. The second is a block of the Month that Sandi and I will be working on together, most likely a 2014 project. We purchased the eagle fabric, but will be making the blocks out of fabric from our stash.

This week also marks another Birthday- I just love birthdays, you get to celebrate all month long!  Sandi gave me the neatest gadget below, called the curve master. It is a foot that will fit almost any machine and will sew curved pieces together perfectly. There is a great Demo on YouTube.  Check it out.
