Hard to believe that 2012 is almost over!  Happy New Year All-Bring on 2013!

This week I am buried in all the pieces for Bonnie Hunter's Mystery. This morning the second to last clue was reveled, and tomorrow brings the big finish. I am liking what is happening so far and love the colors! Below are all the pieces waiting to be sewn together. Today some of them will be used in larger triangle units.

Sunday Stash Report December 30, 2012

Hope the Holidays are finding everyone well and spending time with family and friends.

The final Stash Report of the year!  So, after a few more additions this week-needed a couple of more limey greens for the Easy Street Mystery, here are the final numbers for the year. After all is said and done only 9 yards used this year. Not great! This year I am determined to use up what I have and keep the adds to a minimum. I am also going to try to finish a project a month. Last year I was trying to quilt a project a month- but that didn't work. Will get the list together this month-it is always good to have a plan and a goal!

Used YTD: 98.0 yards.
Purchased this week: 3.0 yards.
Purchased YTD: 89.0 yards.
Net fabric used in 2012: 9 yards

Design Wall Monday December 3, 2012

This week I will be working on the new Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt, called Easy Street. The first clue was released the day after Thanksgiving, and new clues will be released every Friday for the next 5-6 weeks. Bonnie's mystery quilts are always fun and usually have lots of little pieces. We will see how this one turns out!  



Here is the first step almost finished-just have to sew into 192 4-patches.



Step two involves cutting triangles and sewing into flying geese units.

I am already behind- but check out Sandi over at Kwiltnkats. She has already completed the first two steps. Ok, so now it is time to get sewing!!!

Sunday Stash Report December 2, 2012

Hard to believe it is already December!!  Only only 22 more shopping days until Christmas!

This week I get to report a finish! The LittleMonkey Quilt is finished and will soon be off to its new owner. I love how it turned out-hope my niece does also!

Unfortunately I have a few additions to the stash, so the numbers aren't looking too good. The good thing is this year is almost over and I get to start fresh in January!

Design Wall Monday November 12, 2012

This week finds me working on more of my Dear Jane Blocks, The latest completions are below. I now have rows A-F complete and am almost finished with row G.  Only 6 more rows to go!

I also completed the Blocks for Sunshine Quilt Guild, which meets this Tuesday Night. Anyone who wants to, purchases a block for $1.00 and then the completed blocks go in to a drawing. This one is all in Fall colors.

Many Birthday wishes going out to my youngest daughter, Kendyll, who turns 25 tomrrow! She will be celebrating in Africa this year, but we are all sending her lots of wishes for a great day!! We miss you!

This week I am working on the Little Monkey Quilt. Have it all layed out and ready to stitch the rows together. Bordes are ready to go. Hope to complete by the end of the week, if I can get some sewing time in. 

Also working on Dear Jane Blocks- have rows A-E complete and almost finished with row F. Check back later this week for pictures of progress.

Sunday Stash Report November 4, 2012

No finishes this week. :(  Still working on Little Monkey.  I do have a couple of additions to report.  While on our trip up to central California, we did have the opportunity to visit a quilt shop in Pismo Beach called Quiltin Cousins- It was just the cutest shop. Picked up a great cheddar and a green reproduction. Not sure what I will do with them yet- but I am sure I can think of something!
