Design Wall Monday September 5, 2011

Happy Labor Day to all and hope every one is doing something fun today. We are actually having a bit of a rainy day here in San Diego- very unusual weather for us this time of year.

I also wanted to wish a Big Happy Birthday to my daughter Kayleigh who turns 25 today.  Hard to believe that I have a 25 year old daughter!

This week I am working on my September UFO- Scrap Happy. I have all the pieces cut out and am almost finished with putting together the blocks- there are only 113 of them!

When this bad boy is finished, it will go to the front of the quilting que as it will be going on my bed.
See what everyone else is working on at Patchwork Times.  Have a great week everyone!

Here it is again, the Blue Trees Quilt, my UFO for August. This was fun, fast and would also look great in reds and greens.  Now back to July's UFO....

Looking forward to seeing what September brings. Check out all the other finishes at Patchwork Times.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend All.

Design Wall Monday August 22, 2011

Happy Monday to All!

Along with trying to get caught up on the July UFO-Feathered Stars, I will be working on the corn part of the quilt below called Frightfully Crazy. This is a Buggy Barn pattern  that Sandi and I are working on as an opportunity quilt for Sunshine Quilt Guild. Sandi had already finished the pumpkins and I will be making the border units this week. Hope to have them finished up by the weekend so that we can put it all together.

Frightfully Crazy

Here are the fabrics that I will be using for the corn.

Design Wall Monday August 15, 2011

This week I am finally getting to my August UFO. It is called Blue Trees. I thought this one would be a nice to have hanging on the wall in January and February, as it is not so holiday looking. What do your think?

This one should go pretty fast as I already have the trees and pieces cut out for the blocks, just need some undisturbed time at the sewing machine to get it all together. Hope to post my progress later this week.

Have a great week!

Design Wall Monday August 8, 2011

Happy Monday to All!

This week I will be helping Sandi to put together the San Diego Humane Society Quilt. Below is the block that I am working on. All the pinwheel centers are finished, just need to do the outer flying geese to finish this up. There are 36 of these blocks and they finish at 4 inches. Yes, very small blocks!

What are you working on this week?
