Happy New Years Eve!

Hard to believe we are on the last day of 2023, time just continues to fly.

A couple of small finishes for my last stash report of the year. These were completed as gifts for my 2 daughters.

Not too bad this year. 113 total yards used and only purchased 47. I will continue my fabric "diet" for 2024 and try to use up more of my stash along with finishing up some of my many UFO's!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! December has been one crazy month! First my DH was sick for two weeks, and then of course I caught the bug. This had me scrambling to delay my trip to San Diego to see all the Grandkids. I was able to finally take my trip, a few days later than I had planned, but we still had a great time!

Not much sewing has been completed this month, other than working on the units for Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. I am almost caught up, and looking forward to the release of this weeks clue. You can find all the clues here, if you want to join in or save for later. So far I am liking all the units that we are making.

This week I will also be working on Block 11 of Vintage Valentine. I am so happy that I have been able to keep up with this BOM. There are only 2 more months to go and then putting it all together. I am also going to be working on my list of UFO's for 2024, with only two that will carry over from 2023. No finishes this week and nothing added to the stash.

Close up of Quilting

This is the other project that I am trying to spend a few hours each day working on and hoping to finish this month. This quilt was completed last year, but needed to be quilted. It is all custom quiltied. Both the quilt and the quilting patterns were designed by Kim Diamond of Sweet Dreams Quilt Studio. It is called Thoroughly Modern Christmas and was made entirely from my stash. This will take me awhile to get this one finished!

On the longarm.

I will be working on this, along with finishing up some behind the scenes projects and working on Clue 2 of the Bonnie Hunter Mystery. A lot to keep me busy, and I still need to get my tree up!

Happy December! 

This is what Clue #2 looks like before sewing. I hope to get this finished this coming week. I traded out the red for a lime green. Crossing my fingers that it will all look great in the end with all the blues.

Still no finishes this week and nothing added to the stash, but a few projects behind the scene that I hope to finish soon.

Design Wall Monday

 Block 10 of Vintage Valentine is prepped and ready for the hand sewing while I watch TV in the eveinings. Block 11 will be on the way soon!

Happy Thanksgiving

Bring on the Mystery! Bonnie Hunter's new mystery quilt starts today. You can read all about it and join in here. My first few units below completed. I will be working on this, inbetween other projects that need to be finished, through the month of December and probably into January.

BH Mystery Clue 1.

This weekend I will also be working on prepping block #10 for Vintage Valentine. Yes, I am still keeping up with this BOM. There are 3 more months to go and then putting it all together. This will be on my UFO list to finish in 2024.

Sunday Stash Report

November has been a busy month, with not much sewing getting done. I will be working on finishing up the sampler quilt above. This was given to me with blocks completed, blocks needing to be completed and missing blocks. All I have left to fill in is the top right portion above. I will be using up scraps to try to put together a few blocks to complete this sampler. It will eventually be donated to a local charity.

No changes in the stash. Only a few more weeks to get all those UFO's done!
