Design Wall Monday, November 5, 2012

Many Birthday wishes going out to my youngest daughter, Kendyll, who turns 25 tomrrow! She will be celebrating in Africa this year, but we are all sending her lots of wishes for a great day!! We miss you!

This week I am working on the Little Monkey Quilt. Have it all layed out and ready to stitch the rows together. Bordes are ready to go. Hope to complete by the end of the week, if I can get some sewing time in. 

Also working on Dear Jane Blocks- have rows A-E complete and almost finished with row F. Check back later this week for pictures of progress.

Sunday Stash Report November 4, 2012

No finishes this week. :(  Still working on Little Monkey.  I do have a couple of additions to report.  While on our trip up to central California, we did have the opportunity to visit a quilt shop in Pismo Beach called Quiltin Cousins- It was just the cutest shop. Picked up a great cheddar and a green reproduction. Not sure what I will do with them yet- but I am sure I can think of something!

So here are the updated numbers, and I am going in the wrong direction!!

Design Wall Monday October 22, 2012

Happy Monday All!!

This week I am working on a Quilt for my new grand-niece, Annistyn. It is a free Bonnie Hunter pattern called Little Monkey.  Had lots of great scraps to use up for this one. The blocks are almost finished and then just need to add sashing, borders and quilt it up. Hope to get it finished soon and in the mail!

Sunday Stash Report October 21, 2012

Time has sure flown! Can't believe over a month has passed since my last post. Thanks Lynne for reminding me!!

It has been a sad time for our family this past week as we lost our beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, James Boldt. He left us very peacefully this past Monday and is now in Heaven with the angels. We will miss him greatly!

October is here and almost gone! The weather is final changing in San Diego and we are actually having a rainy day today- perfect for football (or baseball-go Giants!) and getting caught up on all those little things. Below is one of my favorite fall quilts hanging in the house.

So on to the stash report! Only additions to report these past weeks. Have not had much time to complete anything, but have a few things that I am working on. Check back tomorrow for Design Wall Monday!

Added a couple of fabrics for a quilt I am working on for my Niece, who just had her baby girl on Oct 7th. Also purchased a couple of Batiks for a future project. So all in all I added 8 yards in the past couple of weeks. Now its time to get sewing!!!

Hard to believe that September is here!  Fall and the holidays are just around the corner.

Nothing used or added to report this week. Have a couple of baby quilts that are in the works. Hope to get those finished by the end of the month.

Design Wall Monday August 13, 2012

Happy Monday All! It has been very hot/humid here in San Diego, unusual weather for us, and a good time to stay inside where it is cool and sew.

This week I am still working on the Dear Jane Quilt. Have almost all the blocks completed for the first four rows and hopefully will be sewing them togerther this week. Slowly making progress..........

Back from Vacation.What a great time spent with family! 

Unfortunately no reduction to the Stash this week, only some additions. I found a few more pink and brown fabrics for the Dear Jane Quilt, along with having to buy more fabric for a quilt backing. So all in all I added 7.5 yards to the stash. Hope to work some of that off soon!!
