Design Wall Monday

Winston Ways is on the Design wall this week. Above are the first four completed blocks. This is another Bonnie Hunter pattern in her book "More Adventures with Leaders and Enders" It was started in a workshop in fall of 2014. This is my June UFO, but time is running out and I have 26 more blocks to make. This one will end up being a July finish and I will miss the parade this month.

Also on the wall will be the last month of  Freedom Rings. Above are the completed blocks for month 6 and will be putting together in July for a finish! See more design walls with great projects at Patchwork Times.

Have a great week and hope you find time to sit and sew every day!

Sunday Stash Report

Nothing used and nothing added this week. Have a couple of projects in the works to hopefully finish soon. Have not had much sewing time this last week, but was able to work on my June UFO today, Winston Ways. Spent time sewing and trimming all the half square triangles and putting together a couple of the blocks.

Below are all the bits that were trimmed from the half square triangles using my Bloc Loc. This is a great tool to trim to the exact measurement that you need.

Here are all the pieces to assemble all the blocks.

Pieces ready to sew.

Sunday Stash Report

Hope all the Dad's our there are enjoying the day!

No finishes this week. A couple of adds from our meeting last week at Sunshine Quilt Guild. We always end the season with a potluck, auction and fabric table. So I picked up the fabrics below. I will be looking for a pattern to use the pre-cuts below.

Below are spools and charm packs with some great shirtings I will use in my Dear Jane.

Sandi brought me the fat quarters below to add to my sewing fabric stash. I am collecting sewing themed fabrics to make Bonnie Hunters Spool Quilt. The ones below are perfect!

Also added this month were some great fat quarters from my Quilty Box. This was the first of the 3 month program that I signed up for. It is always great to Quilty stuff in the mail. Check it out! Part of the proceeds go to charity.

Looking forward to a couple of finishes by the end of the month to get the numbers back in line.

Purchased this week: 15.0 yards.

Design Wall Monday

Today I am returning home to San Diego from the Cowgirl Round-up. We all had a great time working on our Dear Jane Projects. A couple worked on other patterns by Brenda, while there, including Lisa below. She was working on It Just takes Two by Brenda and Gay. It sure is looking good!

Here are more Dear Jane Blocks that the ladies were working on.

We all had a great time at the Round-up and are looking forward to next year. Brenda has promised to spend some of the time on a Triangle workshop for us.

I hope to find time this week to get to my June UFO, which is #10 Winston Ways, a Bonnie Hunter pattern that was started in a workshop in 2014. This one takes a whole bunch of little nine patches and I have almost all of them complete. Looking forward to getting this finished.

Have a great week and hope you get in some sewing time.

At the Dear Jane Cowgirl Round-up

View from sewing room.
It has bee a busy week here at Newt's Ranch in San Antonio, hardly a spare minute to post. We have all been busy until the wee hours, working on those little blocks. Our sewing room is big and spacious with lots of light.

Sewing Room, my chair is on the far right,

Below are some of the blocks completed this week.
