Sunday Stash Report

This week I have a finish to report and a few additions to the stash. First the adds.

These Blue and Neutral fabrics were purchased at Country Loft, courtesy of a gift certificate from my friend Sandi, over at Kwiltnkats. We also purchased some fabrics together for a project we will be sewing soon. You can see these on her blog.

Next up were some charm squares and fabric to make the adorable quilt below. This was made by Connie from Sunshine Quilt Guild and she had some left on her Etsy site so I was able to purchase from her. I loved the simplicity of this quilt and will be making it to give to my Granddaughter Violet.

Now on to my finish for the month which is my Harmony Square Quilt.

Still in the Red as far as the numbers go, but hope to change that next month. Hope you are doing better than I am this year!

Used this week: 12.0yards.
Used Year to date: 26.0 yards
Purchased this week: 13.0 yards.
Purchased Year to date: 29.75 yards.

UFO Finish

Here is my UFO finish for February. It is called Harmony Square by Linda Ballard and was started last month in a class at Road to California Quilt Show. I will be looking for some great quilting designs to put in the snowball squares and triangles. The border fabric is a Ginkgo Leaf that I purchased awhile back.

I will send this off to Marti for the February UFO Parade. Hope you were able to finish yours this month.

Design Wall

This week I had to switch gears a bit. I was all ready to work on my Lillibets Garden, have to machine sew the applique's down, but my Bernina is not back from the shop. My other machine a portable Janome is just not up to the task. So I am switching my UFO for the Month (hope you don't mind Marti) to Harmony Square.

Mine is in the green fabrics and I have completed the 12 center blocks.

I also completed the block below for Sunshine Quilt Guild. This is for our Block of the Month Drawing. I did not win this time, but maybe next month!

What are you working on this week?? Check out all the other Design Walls at Patchwork Times.

A Red and White Quilt Show.

Here is my entry into the Red and White Quilt Show hosted by SewCalGal
This quilt was made in 1999 and is 40" square. It is Log Cabin pattern and was
quilted on my Bernina, before I got my Long Arm.

Design Wall Monday

This week I will be working on my Lilibet's Garden. This is my #6 UFO for February. It is almost finished and just needs to have the rest of the applique sewn down. On this quilt I did all of the applique by machine, using Beth Ferrier's technique. If you have not tried this for applique, it is a great technique and gives you results that look like you have sewn it down all by hand. Time to get busy!

Check our all the other Design Walls at Patchwork Times.  Have a great sewing week!

Sunday Stash Report

Happy Ground Hogs Day to all, but more importantly Happy Birthday to my Sister Lynne.
You can check out her blog and wish her a Happy Birthday at Da's Crochet Connection. My Sister does some awesome Crochet projects and just finished making 356 Granny Blocks last year, all of them a different pattern.

On to my stash report. No finishes this week, just the string blocks for the swap, but that doesn't count as they will not be made into a quilt until later this year! My only add was a half yard from Rosie's for the binding on my Celtic Solstice. Hope to have another finish soon to get back into the black for the year!
